Jessecka says, "ok, let's get started"

Jessecka exclaims, "Welcome everyone to today's edition of Meet and Greet...our guest today is Doggah!"

Doggah is decked out for the holiday season, wearing a dark green sweater over his black and yellow jumpsuit. He's also wearing a Santa hat with a jingle bell on top!

Jessecka says, "thankd for joining us today Doggah"

Doggah says, "Hey hey"

Jessecka smiles.

Jessecka asks, "let's get started with a little classic fed background....when did you get started playing Fed?"

Doggah says, "I played for a few months back in the AOL days... I didn't get very far, to Merchant I think... and I played up until AOL kicked the game out"

Jessecka asks, "when did you rejoin fed?"

Doggah says, "I rejoined on the web, I believe it was early 2003. I played until December, got up to Baron, then left again. I came to Fed II at the beginning of this year."

Jessecka asks, "what do you remember the best about aol fed and classic fed?"

Doggah says, "I wasn't happy with AOL fed, but that's because it was after AOL had gone to the unlimited plan and Fed was way too crowded"

Jessecka asks, "too many of us huh?"

Jessecka giggles.

Doggah says, "In Classic I enjoyed running my planet once I brought it online... I was also proud of the fact that I kept a comprehensive map of all the active planets and updated them almost daily"

Doggah winks, "and there were a lot more active planets then ;)"

Jessecka grins.

Doggah says, "Classic's also the period I started hosting"

Jessecka asks, "In Fed2 you host two events, some of the more popular events. Did you host the same events in Classic, and how did you get into hosting?"

Jessecka winks, "BTW, he hosts Feddergories and the Magellan Cup ;)"

Doggah winks, "Well admittedly, back then I was just trying to get out of paying for Fed... ;)"

Jessecka laughs.

Doggah says, "but I heard there was a vacancy in the event staff and was invited to apply"

Doggah says, "The vacancy was Magellan Cup, so that's the one I hosted first"

Jessecka asks, "so I'm guessing all those maps came in handy, huh?"

Doggah says, "and then a couple months later I created Feddergories myself and submitted it to be added to the lineup"

Doggah smiles, "oh yes - there was a method to my madness :)"

Jessecka grins.

Jessecka asks, "so you actually created Feddergories....what gave you the idea and was it hard to get it going in the begining?"

Doggah says, "Actually, back then Magellan Cup didn't get a very high attendance, and I frequently had to cancel events"

Doggah says, "So I was looking to create something that was a bit more entertaining"

Doggah says, "I liked the idea of adapting the Scattergories rules since it was a game I enjoyed, and it was faster paced and even a little wild at times"

Jessecka grins.

Doggah says, "It wasn't hard at all to get the game added to the lineup, we just alternated with Magellan Cup. Of course the rules have evolved somewhat over time but that's the same with many games"

Jessecka asks, "many of us, including me since I am a Feddergories fanatic, have played in Fed2. Was the game as popular in classic?"

Doggah says, "It did get a better turnout than Magellan Cup, but in Classic the fighting games were also quite popular"

Doggah says, "I only played Feddergories in Classic for a few months though - we had a big crash in November I think, which led to the early development of Fed2"

Jessecka asks, "do you think that part of the popularity in Fed2 is because of the day and time slot, or do you think that it is popular in spite of its Saturday night time slot?"

Doggah says, "I would say it's popular in spite of its timeslot. I know many 'normal' people go out and lead normal lives on Saturday nights... at least more often than during the week"

Doggah says, "but we regularly get 8-10 players per game, and have gone as high as 15"

Jessecka will readily admit she organizes her evening around Feddergories.....but then, she isn't normal

Jessecka smiles, "Ok, how about we find out a bit about the real man behind the host :)"

Jessecka asks, "if you don't mind, why not share a bit about your RL. What do you do for a living in RL?"

Doggah says, "Well my job's not very exciting... I work in retail, in a managerial position"

Icey snickers about retail

Jessecka thumps Icey.

Jessecka says, "be quiet, brat"

Doggah says, "Ties up a good portion of my days but it pays the bills for the most part"

Icey blows a rasberry

Jessecka understands that.

Jessecka says, "Ok, I do have a few more questions, but I'd like to give everyone else a bit to ask some as well. If you have a question for Doggah, just raise your hand."

Jessecka asks, "anyone?"

Icey raises hand

Jessecka asks, "Icey?"

Icey snickers

Icey asks, "which company by chance in retail ?"

Icey prays its not hobby lobby..

Jessecka winks, "why icey, need a job? ;)"

Doggah grins

Icey says, "sure.. in management"

Jessecka cringes at the thought of Icey in management.

Doggah winks, "We're hiring baggers actually ;)"

Jessecka laughs.

Icey drawls, "tisk tisk.. no thanks.. been there for a day..."

Jessecka winks, "anyway, he prefers to be a pizza boy ;)"

Icey says, "yeah ... all the cute girls love pizza.."

Jessecka has given Icey a hearty tickle.

Jessecka asks, "anyone else before I get to the last of the questions?"

Doggah says, "well I'm engaged so I don't need to do that"

Icey gets ready to hand doggah the duck tape to tape jess down.. wait its the other way ;)

Jessecka says, "ooooo, tell us about your finance.."

Doggah says, "Well we've been together off and on for seven years, we have a son together, and we're getting married in May. She's been in Fed2 as Ruca but she doesn't use it very often"

Jessecka smiles, "how wonderful :)"

Jessecka has given Doggah a fervent hug.

Jessecka asks, "ok, anyone else before we finish up?"

Jessecka smiles, "Ok, just a few more quick questions...:)"

Doggah says, "OK.."

Jessecka asks, "tell us about your planet in Classic, and will you be bringing it back in Fed2?"

Doggah says, "My planet in Classic was called Dogghouse. Like I said I got as high as Baron with it... I started out in the Calamari duchy and eventually moved to Tigress"

Doggah says, "It didn't have much of a theme, although it did have an orbiting space station maze/puzzle"

Doggah says, "I do plan to eventually bring it back in Fed2 but dramatically changed - it's been through a little apocalypse"

Jessecka grins.

Icey smiles

Doggah says, "anyway, It's on my list of things to do"

Jessecka asks, "can you share with us some of the changes you feel were made to the game from classic to Fed2 that have improved the game?"

Doggah says, "Most of the positive changes are those that have been discussed for the future or that we've only flirted with thus far - I'm looking forward to seeing just what people can do with the planet editor once events are added in"

Jessecka smiles.

Jessecka asks, "Ok, ready for the last question, the big one?"

Doggah says, "and the prospect of having multiple planets in a system is an exciting one too"

Doggah says, "Ready as I'll ever be"

Jessecka laughs.

Jessecka winks, "Ok, give us your most embarrassing Fed moment, Fed2 or Classic....and we want details as well ;)"

Doggah says, "OK, I have two and they're both from Fed2"

Jessecka grins.

Doggah winks, "The first one, I'm sorry to say, was walking in on you and Robius in your bedroom on Dryad... and though I know you both told me nothing was happening, look who's married now? ;)"

Jessecka laughs!

Jessecka blushes just a bit as well.

Doggah says, "And the second has to be dressing up and singing as Ashlee Simpson for the Fed Halloween party. That has to absolutely top anything else I've done"

Jessecka asks, "want to give us a sample of the performance??"

Jessecka grins.

Jessecka winks, "and I AM talking about the Ashlee Simpson one ;)"

Doggah winks, "I wouldn't have assumed otherwise ;)"

Doggah winks, "and I don't know, I wouldn't want to scare off the rest of Fed this time ;)"

Jessecka laughs.

Jessecka winks, "that's ok, I'm sure I can scrounge up the log and include it in the log for the website ;)"

Doggah says, "Yeah yeah, I'm sure you could"

Jessecka grins.

Jessecka asks, "anything else you would like to add before we close dear?"

Jessecka has given Doggah a tasty tickle.

Jessecka smiles, "Thank you dear for coming out today and joining us :)"

Doggah says, "Just that I really enjoy doing what I do here on the Fed staff"

Doggah says, "and hope to continue to entertain next year"

Doggah says, "You're welcome Jess"

Jessecka asks, "oooooo, one last question Doggah?"

Doggah says, "Yes?""

Jessecka winks, "cheese? ;)"

Jessecka has given Doggah a tasty tickle.

Doggah says, "True story"

Jessecka says, "oh no"

Jessecka grins.

Doggah says, "My fiance found my sister online using a username of "tetedefromage.""

Doggah says, "It wasn't until she asked me about it that she realized that was French for "cheesehead.""

Jessecka laughs.

Nomad raises his hand

Jessecka exclaims, "thanks everyone for joining us today for the Meet and Greet....join me next week on Christmas Day for Kick the Red Nose Reindeer, and again in 2 weeks for another edition of Meet and Greet!"

Jessecka asks, "yes Nomad?"

Nomad says, " can we start from the begining again :p"

Nomad snickers

Doggah winks, "Sure Nomad... find the log when it comes up, and start reading, and I'll start over ;)"

Jessecka giggles.

Nomad says, " oh cool :p"

Jessecka winks, "we can't help it if you are late ;)"

Jessecka has given Nomad a warm hug.

Nomad says, " but but but it was was was not my fault"

Jessecka laughs.
