This is such a skimpy news bulletin that it was hardly worth firing up the
news-droid. They use a lot of fuel, you know, particularly when they're just
warming up. 
 
Not much has happened over the last week. We've had no reports of gossip, not
even from our new anonymous correspondent Poison Pen. It's not good enough; how
are we expected to write a weekly news bulletin when you don't do anything
scandalous for us to report on? 
 
We can't even rely on Our Illustrious Leader for much news because her gammy
leg hinders her programming ability. However, she has done something this
week... 
 
 
 **>> YOU HAVE ALL BEEN SAVED! 
 
As promised, Bella has fixed things so that planetary data - including
treasuries and exchange information - is saved to disk every hour. This means
that if the game goes down unexpectedly, planet owners won't be completely
devastated; at most they will lose one hour's worth of groats and stocks. 
 
Bella has also done a bit of tidying up with the backlog of player-planets. New
versions of Scadia and Ocean have gone in, although we're not sure of the
extent of the changes made by the owners. Several of the planets that have
recently been advanced to Mining will shortly be turning into mini-planets,
which will make room for the new planets waiting to go in. 
 
 
 **>> WAIT... IS THIS SOME GOSSIP WE SEE BEFORE US? 
 
In the nick of time, we hear rumours that Silversteel and Juliette have been
steaming up the windows in the spybeam-proof room. Every time someone walks in
there, the couple are discovered naked, in the throes of passion! 
 
The question is, what happens when more than one couple want a little privacy
in which to conduct their trysts? Is there a rota system in operation? 
 
 
 **>> WHERE'S ANGEL? 
 
The SpyNet Review showed the shock news recently that Angel had died dead-dead.
Why? No-one knows. Riccardo offered the explanation that she had been eaten by
her pet sharks... but we don't think this is very likely. Others have said it
was suicide, but they don't know why. Does anyone know the truth behind Angel's
untimely death? 
 
 
 **>> PROMOTIONS NEWS 
 
There were none. At least, if there were, no-one told us. Or if they did tell
us, we forgot. Or if we did remember, we didn't think they were important
enough to report. Or if we did think they were important enough to report, the
news-droid failed to print them due to a subtle bug in its printing routines. 
 
You just can't get the staff these days!
