Bella's work on rotating the planets is going extremely well. Yesterday
Aeron's planet, Avalon, was removed from the game and Fed Data Space seems to
be carrying on as normal. If no problems are thrown up in the next couple of
days, then the full rotation will go ahead as planned by the end of the week. 
 
Assuming that works smoothly, some of the planets that have been queuing up
will be put in at last. Elex's world, Scadia in the system Elwyn, will go in
first. This will be followed by Otoole's Brewski and Merkin's Serendipity, in
the system Rigel. I'm sure they will all be pleased that their wait is over. 
 
Krell's Gotham and Sheffield's Quartus are also in the queue, and will be
added once things have settled down again. 
 
Bella will then go back to working on the planetary economies, which will
please all the Squires and Thanes. The first thing she will do is give people
a way to actually get at the huge pile of groats their planets are making.
She'll also make changes to the way networths are calculated, to take account
of how well the planets are being managed. We're sure this will make a great
many changes to the Conclave! 
 
 
 **>> FED UNCONVENTION 
 
The topic in the BBS about the Fed UnConvention is hotting up! A date and area
has now been finalised. The Convention will be held in the Washington DC area,
from Friday March 13 (an auspicious day!) to Sunday March 15. If you have any
ideas about happenings you would like to happen at the UnConvention, upload
them in the UnCon topic. We will report all details in the news as they are
finalised. 
 
 
 **>> WHO'S WHO 
 
Bella has uploaded a new file in the Library, a complete list of the personas
currently in the game. The list shows rank, persona name and ship name. The
file is number 689 in Library 5. It replaces the old file she uploaded a month
or so back, which has been deleted. 
 
 
 **>> CARTOON CAPERS 
 
Following the success of her first Fed Funnies cartoon, Freya uploaded a
second file last week. This shows the adventures that you can find in Chez
Diesel! It is available in both MACPAINT and GIF format, so most people should
be able to view it. We understand that she'll be uploading a third cartoon in
the next few days. 
 
If you haven't yet downloaded these cartoons, go and do so at once. They're
brilliant!

We had hoped to bring you a Guided Tour of Inversity this week, but due to
technical problems we have to hold it over till next week. Apologies to
Oddball, who we are sure was awaiting the feature with baited breath!

We are pleased to introduce a new member of the News team. Our special agent,
who for reasons of security must remain anonymous, has been slinking around
the bedrooms and the bars, collecting all the gossip and scandal. The agent,
who chooses to use the psuedonym Deep Throat, has this to say: 
 
Finally... the scoop on Freya's vow of silence. 
 
It has come to our attention that the vow of silence came when Oddball cast a
spell on Freya. She was forced to use the bathrooms on Inversity, and she
discovered that Oddball was actually a transvestite. 
 
Oddball, completely devastated that his secret had been discovered,
immediately hired the services of various demons throughout the universe to
silence Freya. Finally Oddball had convinced Freya to keep his secret after
paying her large sums of groats, promising to polish her spaceship and to
perform a he/she singing act at the FedCon in Washington D.C. he lifted the
spell and hence, the vow is gone.

H&A has received tons and tons of letters (ok fine... it was actually one
casual note left via TYPO) regarding Tal's death. Just when people started
getting used to Tal's absence she reappeared, although briefly, in Fed space.
This reporter has learned the truth however.  Apparently she really is dead,
but her murderer (gasp... shock, yes it was a murder) kept a large stock of
the cells lining her stomach so he could clone her whenever he desired her
presence. 
 
I for one am outraged by this and beg her capture/murderer to release her
cells so we can nominate this sick individual to the U.S. Supreme Court. 
 
Anyone have any ideas who this individual may be????

Speaking of the Supreme Court... a former nominee, Slew, has apparently been
plagued by complaints of sexual harassment regarding the name of his
Spaceship. Slew continually needing to repaint his ship after arriving at the
landing pad only to find some individual(s)  had spray painted over his
spaceship's name an renamed it "Boom Buggy II" was outraged. 
 
Finally Slew took his ship to Route66 where it was quickly destroyed.  Slew's
new and improved spaceship is called the "Worlord".  Look for it's arrival at
a landing pad near you.

What has happened to Trippin? 
 
There are many Federation males (and one female) who greatly miss Trippin.
After a month of total hedonism, Trippin has vanished without a trace.  We
find this quit strange as Trip had explored so much of Federation's bars.
Anyone can see the carvings on the counter top at CD's and the bar on Venus
reading "Trippin was here" and "Trippin was there". 
 
We look forward to her return.
